History

Full-time student of American, Japanese & Chinese fighting arts from 1977-1991

  • Kenpo - 1978-1987 (American Karate (Okinawan root), Kick Boxing, Jeet Kun Do)
  • Shaolin Pai Lun-Fa Kung Fu (Northern China, Honan Province) 1988-1991 

2nd degree Black Belt Nidan (Tracy System, American Karate Studios)

Training 

1977 Began training in Kenpo under Instructor Cliff Jewell (Feasterville PA). 

  • Cliff received his 4th Dan under the legendary Joe Lewis and trained with Joe exclusively.
  • Cliff taught the Tracy system before converting to the original Parker System in 1988
  • Cliff brought Bruce Lee's Jeet-Kun-Do with him which was taught by Joe Lewis who was a student of Mr. Lee.

1979-1982 - often trained and sparred with Tang Soo Do 6th Dan Master Bill Ott (www.atsdkarate.com/Instructor.html)

1981-1984 - fought in many amateur kickboxing tournaments

1984 Black Belt Sho-dan

1986 2nd Degree Black Ni-dan

1987 Began training in some Judo 

1988 Began training in Kung Fu under instructor Eric Banta (Hatboro Horsham, PA)

  • Mr. Banta taught the Crane, Tiger, Snake & Leopard styles of combat
  • circular systems of defense & offense

1990 Awarded Kung Fu equivalent of 1st degree Black Belt
